WorkSafeNB is seeking a Health and Safety Consultant (HSC) to join our Prevention Division. As an HSC, you will support our goal of providing excellent client services and improving health and safety in NB workplaces. Reporting to the Manager, Consultation Services, you will use your occupational health and safety knowledge and experience with a coaching approach to help employers improve health and safety in their workplaces, ranging from small businesses to complex industries. 

Your key areas of responsibility include: 

•	Providing client-focused education and consultation services to help New Brunswick employers improve health and safety in their workplaces.
•	Representing WorkSafeNB, and the Prevention Division, to promote our vision, mission, and services.
•	Supporting the approval process for JHSC training providers.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

•	A university degree in Business Administration, Health and Safety, Environmental or in a relevant discipline.
•	Minimum of three years of work experience in occupational health and safety, which can include business consulting, project management and facilitation.
•	Knowledge and experience in application of adult learning principles and practices.
•	CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or CHSC (Certified Health and Safety Consultant) certification is considered an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competency in English is required.  Written and spoken competency in French is an asset.

A valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel within the province, will be required for meetings and on-site work with employers.   

Pay Scale $74,019.97 to $87,081.65

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the expectation of in person meetings. For that reason, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country, is not permissible.
